Scientists, Engineers and Applied Mathematicians US Citizenship Required The Company SciTec, Inc. is a small Princeton, New Jersey based company with
offices in Fairborn, Ohio that performs a variety of scientific and
technical services for a range of government customers and industry
partners. These services include analysis of multispectral and fast
framing data, physics based modeling, scientific software development
(including real time algorithm development), sensor modeling and future
sensor design. SciTec also develops customized sensor instrumentation
and processing systems for a number of applications including
phenomenological research, test and evaluation and concept development
and technology maturation. Processing systems, models, algorithms and
exploitation tools are written in high level languages such as IDL and
Matlab, FORTRAN, C/C++ and embedded programming of DSPs in assembly
code and using VHDL for FPGAs. Scientists and Engineers SciTec
has a need for individuals with backgrounds in the physical sciences
(e.g. Physics or Physical Chemistry), electrical engineering or other
applied sciences or engineering disciplines. These positions will
involve exposure to a wide range of areas including remote sensing,
physics based modeling, spectroscopy, signal processing and detection
theory, scientific software development, atmospheric phenomenology,
spatial, spectral, and temporal data processing, data acquisition, and
sensor modeling and development. The job may also involve laboratory
and field-testing, the use of MATLAB and/or some programming in C/C++.
Additional related areas of interest include work in such areas as
signature analysis and image processing. Successful candidates should expect exposure to a wide range of areas including processing and exploitation of data from distributed systems, phenomenological modeling, field-testing, optics, lasers, and state-of-the-art test equipment. This position will involve customer interaction and opportunities for leading a variety of projects. Positions are available in our New Jersey and Ohio offices. Opportunities exist in Virginia, Colorado and Alabama for applicants with experience working closely with government customers. Experience Experience
preferred, but not required. A strong background in physics and mathematics and
programming experience with C, C++, MatLab, JAVA, JSP, IDL, Fortran and VHDL are of
interest. Education Advanced
degree in the physical sciences or related engineering
disciplines. Relevant experience preferred but not required. U.S. Citizenship is required.
