SciTec, Inc. is a small Princeton, New Jersey based company with offices in Fairborn, OH and Huntsville, AL that performs a variety of scientific and technical services for a range of government customers and industry partners.  These services include analysis of multispectral and fast framing data, physics based modeling, scientific software development (including real time algorithm development), sensor modeling and future sensor design.  SciTec also develops customized instrumentation and processing systems for a number of applications including phenomenological research, test and evaluation and concept development and technology maturation.  Processing systems, models, algorithms and exploitation tools are written in high level languages such as IDL and Matlab, FORTRAN, C/C++ and embedded programming of DSPs in assembly code and using VHDL for FPGAs.

SciTec is looking for an individual with a strong technical background, demonstrated experience building business relations and skills to manage a satellite office to lead the start-up and development of an office in the Washington DC area.  A masters or doctoral level degree in the physical sciences or related engineering disciplines is preferred.  The successful candidate is expected to be able to serve as a local representative of the Princeton based scientific and engineering staff to SciTec’s Washington area customers and be capable of interacting on a range of areas including modeling of physical phenomena, molecular spectroscopy, signal analysis and image processing, and the processing, modeling and exploitation of spatial, spectral, and temporal signatures.  The successful candidate will be required to assist in developing a Washington DC area presence while managing and/or executing on technical projects in the areas listed above. 

Experience developing business and managing the successful execution of technical projects required.  Relevant technical skills to perform in a system engineering and technical assessment capacity with area customers expected, but not necessary depending on strength of business development skills. 

Advanced degree in the physical sciences and related engineering disciplines, preferred but relevant experience is more important.
